On Friday, March 7, 2025, at 8.30 PM, Jordi Savall and Les musiciennes du Concert des Nations will perform in concert at the Teatro Manzoni in Pistoia.
Savall arrives in Pistoia accompanied by a group of extraordinary female musicians: a women’s orchestra, created as a special project within the historic ensemble he founded in 1989, Le Concert des Nations. Composed of women under the age of 39, the orchestra pays tribute to the young female musicians of the Ospedale della Pietà in Venice and their master, the incomparable Antonio Vivaldi.
The program, which includes The Four Seasons and other concertos by Vivaldi, aims to honor the memory of this magnificent composer, violinist, and educator, who was the main architect of the excellence and success of the Ospedale della Pietà’s orchestra.
A tribute to female talent, in celebration of International Women’s Day, through some of the most beloved masterpieces of the “Red Priest.”
The Concert Season at the Manzoni Theatre is promoted by Teatri di Pistoia with the support of Fondazione Caript.
